Solar Panel & Rooftop Solar FAQ
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about solar systems. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact our team.
How long can solar panels last?
The best quality solar panels we use have a 12-year product warranty and system performance warranty up to 30 years. After 30 years, the solar system can still produce about 87% of its initial performance.
Is solar still effective during cloudy or rainy weather?
Yes, solar panels still generate electricity during cloudy weather although with lower efficiency compared to sunny conditions. Hybrid systems with batteries ensure 24/7 electricity availability. Annually, weather predictions are already factored into solar production projections.
How much investment is needed for solar?
Investment varies depending on the capacity and type of solar system needed. For residential with On-Grid systems, starting from IDR 20-150 million (1-10 kWp). This investment will pay off and provide benefits for the next 30 years. We provide detailed financial simulations for each solar system proposal.
What is the installation process for home solar?
The process starts from free site survey, technical design, PLN permit processing, material procurement, installation, commissioning, and training. Total time from contract to system operation is a few weeks depending on complexity and permit process.
Does solar require special maintenance?
Solar systems are relatively low maintenance. Just panel cleaning and routine system checks. We provide annual maintenance packages and 24/7 monitoring to ensure optimal performance. Inverters may need replacement during the 30-year operation period.
What about PLN permits for on-grid systems?
We will handle all PLN permit processes, exim kWh meter installation, and operational eligibility certificate (SLO). The process takes 2-6 weeks depending on the area and document completeness.
